For those of you new here, I’ve been offering these Confidence & Clarity Boost Sessions over the last few weeks, and needless to say, I’m enjoying these short and meaningful conversations where we push each other toward growth, balance, and healing while navigating the challenges life throws at us.
In this new Confidence & Clarity Boost Session, I’m sitting down with Gia to discuss the struggles of challenging limiting beliefs to pursue a path to show up in life with intention and purpose. Together, Gia and I visualize what she wants to see in her future and how she can begin the journey to manifest that vision.
“What you wrote is that you want a love life and to build your career…you said one of your largest obstacles is a lack of confidence and people believing in you and giving you a chance and the lack of faith that comes and goes. It sounds like you have a lot of limiting beliefs. I have a list of questions for you that when you answer them and be able to say, “Oh yeah. This is an old idea I can get rid of. This isn’t true. This is something stopping me in my path.”
- Lauren (6:19)
We break down a series of actionable steps to move through phases of growth, from combating negative self-talk to prioritizing quiet time in your day with journaling, meditating, and affirmations, to help you find your positive momentum when you’ve fallen into a negative pattern that you know you have to change to get back on the path of purposeful passion.
“Anything that follows the words “I am” is what you’re going to do. So if you say, “I am tired,” you’re going to be tired. Or, if you say, “I am so full of so much energy even though it’s 11 o’clock at night…”
Be really conscious…You have to notice that you have negative self-talk happening.” – Lauren 9:00)
In this episode:
- (0:33) What does your ideal future look like and feel like six months from now?
- (3:04) What are your biggest roadblocks to your ideal future?
- (8:00) The 3 phases to kickstarting the journey to pursuing goals with purposeful passion
- (11:08) What fills you up?
- (12:33) Here are some actionable steps to pursue a life of purposeful passion
- (17:20) Combating the inner critic and feeling “behind” by spotting unique outcomes

Eric was a dear friend and a pillar of the health and fitness community. As a tribute to his tireless hard work and service, I want to share Eric's words of hope where you can learn valuable life lessons and optimism from a titan of tenacity who truly believed the gym was a magical place.
What do you do when you feel yourself getting sluggish – not just mentally, but physically? How can women over 35 set themselves up for a lifetime of good health? And what should gym newbies know about working out?
Today’s guest, known as “Eric the Trainer,” is Eric Fleishman – fitness guru and personal trainer to some of Hollywood’s biggest names. He’s been instrumental in transforming the bodies and minds of celebs like Ethan Suplee and Kirstie Alley – and he joins us today to share his story of hard work, gratitude, and service.
“Many times our plans and dreams and aspirations are based upon things that were told to us, ‘Oh, you should do that. Or you should do this.’ But if you actually follow your heart and you do things in your life that reflect your authentic self, you'll be much, much more successful. I'm actually following my authentic self in becoming a trainer and helping people on a massive scale. I don't feel like I go to work in the morning. I feel like I'm on a mission that's much larger than myself. If you wanna follow your passions and get paid for it, be your authentic self, follow your dreams and listen to your heart. Not just to your head.” – Eric (09:56)
In this episode, Eric talks about of what got him into the gym for the first time; the important role sleep plays in our overall well-being, the value of protein-based diets, and why the gym is a magical place:
“The gym, in my opinion, is one of the last magical places in society. It's where someone can come in who's feeling diminished, disenfranchised, either upset because they feel like they're too small or upset because they feel like they're too big, and they can go through a physical transformation using the science of change, which is exercise, diet, and sleep. And through that transformation, they can emerge as a hero. They can go from normal to extraordinary right there in the gym.” – Eric (06:24)
Eric also shares his unique message of hope and why he’s optimistic about the world's future:
“The future is a very, very bright place. [The world] is very, very polarized right now, but it's prime time for someone to come along and join people together and lead them to a better place. So I have a lot of hope for the future, both in America and the world itself. … I'm very excited about the future.” – Eric (24:36)
In This Episode
- (02:13) Eric’s story and the challenges of being a genetic late bloomer
- (03:22) An attitude of gratitude
- (05:44) Growing up with the nickname “Squeaky”
- (6:57) The importance of proper sleep hygiene and its impact on our overall health
- (8:00) Importance of protein
- (09:08) 50,000 pushups for charity
- (14:54) What women over 35 should know about fitness (and how to get long-sleek muscles)

- (22:23) The most impactful lesson Eric has learned and how he copes with hard times
- (24:36) Eric’s message of hope

Learning How To Overcome Anxiety with Jon Patrick Hatcher
Wednesday Jan 18, 2023
Wednesday Jan 18, 2023
Adversity is something we all face at some point in our lives. How we respond to that adversity can crush our spirit or give us hope for a better tomorrow.
